Harman Corporation offers a comprehensive line of standard and custom-molded caps and plugs for automotive part protection. The plastic caps and plugs protect parts from moisture, dust and other unwanted substances during packaging and shipping operations.

Harman offers round, square, and rectangular plastic caps, pull tabs, HP Series plugs, and tapered caps and plastic plugs. These products are available in a variety of PVC materials, including standard vinyl, high temperature, non-staining for copper tubing, anti-static, textured, FDA approved, and UL qualifiable.

Other applications for plastic caps and plastic plugs include thread protectors, covers for bolts and seals, masks during painting, plating and coating applications, insulators, pipe caps, and cable end seals.

The round, rectangular and square caps comes in a variety of standard and custom sizes up to 12 inches in length. The rectangular plastic caps comes with a flat or round end.

Harman’s plastic pull tabs are similar to plastic caps, but have a tab to grab hold of, making removal easy. Pull tabs are available in various sizes with lengths up to 3.5 inches.

HP Series plugs assure easy removal without the use of tools. Removal involves simply pulling the tab. The snug, conforming fit of the HP plugs ensures they will not pop out during shipping, painting and manufacturing. Many sizes are available.

Harman’s tapered caps and plugs can function as both cap and plug because of their design. They are suitable for threaded or nonthreaded holes in a variety of sizes.
