Many finishing operations, such as powder coating and electroplating require plastic products to mask and cover certain areas. Harman Corporation makes high temperature paint masks and other plastic products to do just that.
Polyester and kapton are two major types of high temperature paint masks made by Harman. Both of these products are commonly made into tape and disks to cover certain areas and leave a smooth, clean finish after removal. These paint masks are designed to withstand extremely high temperatures that occur during finishing operations.
Crepe masking disks and tapes are another type of plastic product used as a high temperature paint mask. However, the crepe tape can only endure temperatures up to 325 degrees Fahrenheit, which is slightly lower than polyester and kapton.
In addition to the more common plastic plugs, caps and grips, there are many other plastic products that are custom dip molded by Harman Corporation. Each product is very useful for a number of residential, commercial and industrial applications.
