When Harman Corporation creates customized plastic caps, plastic grips, or plastic plugs for customers, a mold must first be made. This is done by creating the design of the mold on a computer, which then transfers the information to a machine. This machine will carve the mold from a solid block of metal. Once the mold is finished, the plastic is created and custom colored according to the customer's preference. The metal mold is then slowly dipped into the liquid plastic, pulled out, and allowed to cool and harden. Eventually, these plastic caps, plastic grips, or plastic plugs make it into your home where they are used daily.
