A leading provider of nuclear power contacted Harman with an issue. While moving nuclear rods on a cart, they were concerned the cart could damage the nuclear rods. Because there are stringent government regulations when it comes to nuclear energy, Harman formulated a proprietary material to meet the dielectric requirements of the Nuclear Regulatory Agency.

Harman has created dozens of custom protection components up to 8" x 16" x 16" in size that fit on to the actual nuclear rods to protect them during the transportation of the product.
